Opening in October of 1982, Epcot is more than double the size of its Walt Disney World sibling, the Magic Kingdom park. Split into two sections, Epcot celebrates innovation and utopian technology in Future World, while spotlighting 11 international destinations in World Showcase. Guests can sample the sights, sounds and flavors of Canada, France, Japan, Italy, Morocco, Norway, Mexico, China, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom on foot or by monorail. Looming over everything is Spaceship Earth, the sparkling geodesic sphere that is the park’s hallmark.
Families looking for old-fashioned carnival rides mixed with immersive learning experiences are invited to check out The Seas with Nemo & Friends; Journey Into Imagination With Figment; and Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure. International arts and cultures are showcased throughout the park in Reflections of China, the Stave Church Gallery, the Bijutsu-kan Gallery, Impressions de France, and many others. Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Nye the Science Guy star in Ellen's Energy Adventure, a multimedia ride featuring three films and an immersive realm that brings the world of dinosaurs back to life. For guests interested in landscaping, the park features many acres of elaborate waterways, flowers, and trees.
Admission for children 3-9 years of age is $84, while admission for guests 10 years of age and up is $95.
