Located in Queensbury, New York, Six Flags Great Escape is a combined amusement and water park divided into seven themed areas: Ghosttown, Splashwater Kingdom, Timbertown, North Woods Picnic Grove, International Village and Storytown, the Bavarian-themed "Fest Area," and the child-centric KIDZOPOLIS. Thrilling rides for older and adult riders include the fast, stratospheric Condor and the classic loop-fest Steamin' Demon, while family-friendly rides include the mine-car-themed Canyon Blaster, the whitewater-rafting Raging River, and the reliably chugging Storytown Train.
The Boomerang takes riders through three high-velocity loops, then whips them back through it in reverse. The Sasquatch reverses physics by accelerating riders downward, and launching them upward on a 19-story tower. The Flying Trapeze swings riders big and small through the air from "wave swinger" seats.
