Magic Kingdom Park was the first of four Disney theme parks built at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, with a layout inspired by the Disneyland Park in California. Classic Disney animated and live-action films are represented throughout the park in the form of rides, exhibits and costumed performers. The iconic Cinderella Castle, located in Fantasyland, is the focal point of the park, and the surrounding Frontierland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Liberty Square, and Main Street, U.S.A. sections of the park are overflowing with attractions that have fueled pop-culture nostalgia for decades.
A total of six themed areas (“lands”) offer many choices of attractions and entertainment. The Walt Disney World Railroad gives visitors a chance to rest their feet and check their maps while traveling around the park in a vintage steam locomotive. Before they were world-famous movie series’, The Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion were rides in the Disney parks, and visitors can experience each one up close and personal. Animated Disney classics like Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty become vivid rides for everyone to enjoy, in Fantasyland. Tomorrowland features classic rides like Space Mountain and the PeopleMover, as well as more contemporary additions like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Stitch’s Great Escape.
Admission for children 3-9 years of age is $89, while admission for guests 10 years of age and up is $95. Multi-day ticket packages are available, from two to five days, with costs ranging from $54 to $92 dollars per day, depending on the package length and age of each guest.
